I’m happy to share the first solo from the Guns 'N Roses song “Sweet Child O’ Mine." The second solo should be up soon too. In the meantime, the video, TAB, and jam track for this first solo are here for you.

This was an interesting one to dig into. Many people seem to think that Slash is mostly a pentatonic player, but this solo has a lot of evidence to the contrary. It shows how he thinks about using minor scales and arpeggios to target chord tones. The result is an epic-sounding and memorable masterpiece.
