"Californication" Solo
Hi fam,
Welcome to this guitar solo lesson. This time we are looking at the Red Hot Chili Peppers' song “Californication”. This is an excellent solo to learn if you’ve been thinking about getting into lead guitar or want to understand how to use one minor pentatonic scale to cover multiple chord changes.
The main scale used throughout this scale is the 6th string root note F# minor pentatonic box shape. There are a few spots where we move up to the next F# minor pentatonic scale shape and an A major (F# minor) scale.
The TAB and jam track are available here for you on this page. Give the lesson a watch, and leave any questions or song suggestions in the comments.
Thanks,
Nate
