Want to play guitar AND sing? Start here.

Good news! The Guitar Fam Vocal Warmup is now available.

Do you want to perform at a local open mic? Play at your friend’s wedding? Post a video on YouTube or in the Guitar Fam forum?

Sounds great, right? But perhaps some of these thoughts go through your head:

  • “I’m not confident in my singing ability.”

  • “My voice gets worn out and hoarse quickly after just a few songs.”

  • “I’m not sure how to get a better tone with my voice.”

You’re not alone. Even as a professional singer and performer, I've had these thoughts at different stages of my musical journey.

There’s a lot to learn about singing, but one thing that every singer needs is a good warmup routine. That’s why I’m excited to say that we now have a Guitar Fam Vocal Warmup lesson and downloadable MP3 ready for you to use today!

Here’s how to get started:

  1. Watch the lesson video.

  2. Download the audio file. There is one for the male range and another for the female range.

  3. Take it anywhere to use before a rehearsal or performance.

Why is it important to warm up?

  • To avoid vocal damage.

  • To train muscle memory for healthy vocal cord closure coordination.

  • To expand your range as your voice gets more comfortable with the exercises.

  • To increase your vocal stamina.

  • To release strain.

  • To activate the chest, head, and pharyngeal resonances.

Imagine making the most of the songs you’re learning on guitar by being able to sing along. This is the first step to building your confidence and abilities so you’re ready when performance opportunities come knocking.

Go to GuitarFam.com/vocalwarmup to take the lesson and get your voice ready for healthy singing.

As always, if you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us at support@guitarfam.com.

Happy singing!
