Upstrokes can be a big weak point for newer guitar players. That’s why I want to give you three important tips to help sharpen your upstrokes and level up your strumming. Give yourself 2-3 weeks to get used to the technique presented in this video, and let us know if you have any questions as you progress.
1 - Lighten up on your pick grip.
2 - Don’t dig too much of the pick into the strings.
3 - You don’t have to hit all six strings with your upstrokes. You generally only need to hit the thinnest 3-5 strings.
